Founder & PresidentKate Goodwin is a visionary early childhood systems leader and ecosystem builder whose work is rooted in one guiding belief: the soil must be cared for before anything can thrive. Through her SoilB4Seed model, Kate advances a holistic approach to early childhood transformation by recognizing that in caregiving systems, the “soil” is both the people and the conditions. She addresses educator depletion not only as a result of emotional labor, but also as a direct outcome of financial instability built into the child care business model.
As Co-Founder and CEO of Truth Education Foundation, Kate leads systems-change initiatives designed to restore dignity, belonging, and long-term sustainability across early childhood ecosystems. SoilB4Seed integrates two essential components,Educator-First Empowerment and a Financial Sustainability Engine, because restoration must be supported by structure. Kate’s work centers healing-centered culture building, retention, leadership development, and educator well-being, while also advancing sustainable revenue strategies that enable child care centers to reinvest in staff compensation, professional growth, and supportive environments over time. Her philosophy is clear: healing cannot survive in systems that can’t afford it.
Kate also serves as the owner of Kate’s Korner Education Services and Kate’s Korner Learning Center, where she brings the SoilB4Seed framework to life through daily practice. Her centers function as living laboratories, spaces where educators are nurtured, families experience partnership and trust, and children thrive because the adults who care for them are supported, valued, and equipped to grow.
Through her leadership, Kate is redefining what is possible in early childhood education by building models that restore the workforce and strengthen the operational foundations that sustain them, ensuring that children, educators, families, and communities can flourish for generations to come.
