Kezia Goodwin

Kezia 'Kate' Goodwin is the owner of Kate's Korner Educational Services and Kate’s Korner Learning Center, an early childhood education provider in Durham, NC. She leverages 3 decades of leadership experience in early childhood education, along with her entrepreneurial spirit, to create a new model that builds access to equitable learning experiences powered by the strength of community. Kate’s commitment to Justice in Education is her life purpose.

"Our purpose was born out of our dreams and our pain. Driven to dig into the issue of implicit bias in early childhood and pull back the layers to better understand root cause and existing 'solutions,' we are working to find something big and bold, grounded in research emerging from academia and the community, to change the trajectory or success for young children who simply don't fit the mold - especially young Black boys - our boys"
